He promised my van would be ready by 2:15 pm (appt at 1 pm for oil change and rotation only). Then at 2:15 pm I got the check in message. My van was ready at 2:45 pm. He said the papers weren't printed but since the check in was at 2:15 pm, I felt lied to.

I took my brand new car in because the gas pump stops filling gas prematurely. I was told the service tech took the car to the gas station and filled it all the way up. When I picked up the car, the fuel gauge still read 2-3 notches below Full and distance to empty was 445 miles! If there was no issue, gauge would be just above F and distance to empty would be around 580 in a 14.5 gallon tank (I’m averaging near 40 miles per gallon, so clearly I am only able to get 10 gallons of gas in the tank). This appears to me to be the same issue that the 2019-2021 hybrid RAV4 had and I read online that the later models had been fixed, but apparently this is still an issue. Either that or the fill hose vent tube or breather hose needs to be checked and replaced, which was not checked during my appt. Does the person who filled up the tank understand how to read a fuel gauge, because the tank clearly did not fill up all the way.

The appointment took twice as long as quoted. However, the main issue is the end of the appointment. I received an inspection report at around 45 minutes before you closed. It said I have an urgent filter replacement, and a tire with a ruptured sidewall. I stood near the counter waiting for a resolution. I was then told to checkout. When I asked that person about it, he downplayed it. He then said, “If the tire was urgent they would have told you.” I don’t understand how you all couldn’t have at least put on the spare. Why would I continue paying higher prices at the dealership, to get Pep Boys service level?

I will not ever buy another Toyota again,my Avalon has rust coming threw in a few different places it is a 2019 not even 5 years old . I have 36,000 miles on my car it should look brand new every body says it’s Bull **** that you guys don’t fix it I brought it in a year ago when it started rusting out. Never have heard of a car rusting out in 4 years. I bought a 5tear warranty that I thought covers everything to do with the car to be covered from front to back. Now just bought another service coverage . Thank you Theresa O

Despite requesting an appointment that would include updating the software and checking on a brake release issue in addition to 10,000 mile service, when I arrived for the appointment, I was informed that I would need to leave the car overnight or come back another day for the software update and to investigate the parking brake issue. It seems like that should have been communicated up front when making the appointment. I was also told that I may be charged a $170 diagnostic fee if they couldn't identify the issue. In my humble opinion, a car that is under warranty should not incur a fee for identifying and fixing an issue that should be covered under that warranty. This is not the level of customer service I have come to expect from Carlson Toyota.
