Twice today I was told my vehicle was done at the service department; however, my 2023 Toyota Tacoma was in Strasburg, Ohio all day at my employment location. Twice today you have had me confused with someone else and my husband Eric contacted the service department and spoke with someone about the situation. Even after all that, I received a survey wanting my feedback about my service experience today. I was originally told that the recall would take a little over an hour (took under 2 hours today) . I asked multiple times to make my recall appointment on a Friday (any Friday)around 1 because I’m already in that area every Friday. I was told no because it was too close to closing time. I understand it’s a Friday and the mechanics might get off at 4-5. Even if the recall took 2.5 hours it was with in the shops hours. Also I showed up today and the person at the desk didn’t know what my appointment was for. Not up to the usual standard. Also I wasn’t happy with having to make two trips for these recalls and missing work when it’s no fault of my own. Have to sit around for 2-2.5 hours stuck there. A loaner car should be an option.

The service was great, but I chose to take it to you based on something I was told by the scheduler which was not true. She told me that a diagnostic charge of $159/hr was only applied if I take it somewhere else to fix the issue. She said this fee is waived if I get the issues fixed there. When I checked out, I was charged for 1.5 hours at this diagnostic rate and told that what the scheduler said wasn’t true. This is not right. I only decided to take my car to you based on what she told me. If I knew it was $159/hr regardless of getting it repaired with you or not, I would have taken it somewhere else for another estimate. This mistake for your team cost me the opportunity to find the best price for my car repair, and a $239 (1.5hrs) charge that I was not expecting to pay.
Also, my revised estimate after diagnosis was $861.24 but the bill was $100 more than this.
Service was great but very expensive. I hope you can see how this is frustrating from the customer perspective, and not right to have us enter the repair agreement with false expectations.
