I think the labor for service is too high. Also the tech that handled my service at the counter had an attitude. I asked to speak to a manager, but one never came up to me. I have always had great service at Toyota over the years but it seems in the last couple of years it had fallen short. I love my Toyota as I’ve had one for many years, but customer service has fallen short over time.

I arrived 45 minutes early and asked if they could get me in early and out a little earlier as I had an appointment. They said they had no problem getting me in and out earlier. I was there for 1 hour and 50 minutes. I had to cancel my appointment

I scheduled a full routine service appointment that I have included in my lease for tire rotation, oil change, and top off of all fluids. I also asked to check the seal on my sunroof as it sounded like it was not sealed correctly, I asked for help connecting my toyota app because I was having issues with it, and for the second key to my vehicle. First man I spoke to said it would be no issue and he would have a product specialist help me after the service was completed. I went to wait assuming it’d be an hour or so as it normally is, maybe a bit more since I asked about some extra things. I waited for two hours then asked if I could get an update on my vehicle as I saw it parked in front for quite a while and they said they were just printing paperwork, ok. I then wait for another 20 minutes for someone to get me just tell me to sign my paperwork and says “have a good day”. I was a bit confused as none of my questions were answered so I asked them again. She seemed confused also then told me that they only did the tire rotation because I’m at 5,000 miles and tried to tell me that I didn’t need the full service because that’s only performed at 10,000 miles or one year. I had to then explain it’s been a year and that’s why I booked that specific service. I also asked about the connecting issue with the app. She called the product specialist over and went to check on the issues with the service. The product specialist was great, helped right away and showed me how to fix it if it were to happen again. The service lady came back and explained they could take my car back and do the oil change and I noticed my tire pressure was low and they didn’t fix that either so she said they’d do that too. At this point I was a bit frustrated as I had already been waiting for over two hours and I had to work in an hour and a half. So I asked her how much longer I would have to wait after already being there for so long and she said they’d take care of it right away. Even the product specialist was like you’ve been here for over two hours now and they didn’t even do what they needed to???? I was just confused what took so long as they didn’t even do half of what I scheduled in the time I was waiting. They did take my car back and get the oil changed and tires filled in about 20 minutes and I made it home and was able to change and get to work on time. But I had other plans I was planning on doing before work and didn’t expect to spend 3 hours sitting and waiting for my car for a routine service. She said I could schedule another appointment but I live on the other side of Lincoln so it’s already hard for me to find time to make it out to the dealership. It wasn’t the end of the world of course, just frustrating really, and not what I normally experience when I bring my car in.

Normally I would go to the closest Toyota dealership, but this time the quote was out of this world. I called Baxter to get a competitive quote. There was about a $700 difference for some relatively simple repairs. Thanks for not fleecing your customers; I’ll be driving a bit further going forward…
