I received a courtesy call about my HRV. The representative I spoke to was kind and willing to have a quick conversation regarding the car. I told him that the car gets driven a lot and we have put over 17k miles on it. My question to him was in regards to a message I get in the dash board telling me my lane detection and accident avoidance was offline and to take it to a dealer. He told me to run my HRV through a car wash. Now I am an avid car washing nut and keep the HRV spotless, so running it through a car wash didn’t seem like the proper technical advise for such a detailed message on the dashboard from time to time. I then told him I received a coupon in the mail from Asheboro Honda for a complementary oil change, tire rotation, and multi point inspection. He said wonderful and he would connect me with service to schedule that. When I was connected with **** (I worked with him in April, he was wonderful) I told him that I was transferred over and I had a coupon. He asked me where I got the coupon, I told him in the mail from the dealership. He said great, I can get you in. I told him I didn’t need the oil change, just a rotation, balance, and the multi point inspection. When I arrived at the dealership a few minutes early to have the work done, I didn’t speak with ****, it was one of the other service department reps, I told him my name and what was to be done, he said he would get me when the car was done. During my wait, I looked at new Pilots and the Passport, then went inside and the HRV was ready. When I went to speak with the service rep, he looked at the coupon and said, yea I can take 10 bucks off. Well the work was done so I paid the 47 dollars. Here is my complaint: I told two people at the dealership about my coupon, I live 75 miles away, I have to pass my normal Honda dealership (Sanford Honda) to get to Asheboro Honda. If someone would have said, that coupon is misleading or it’s not a real coupon, I never would have driven that far. 150 mile round trip, lost time, lost money, and gained frustration, it is just not worth it. I’ll keep going to Sanford Honda and not return to Asheboro Honda. Thanks -Scott

Ran a little longer than quoted but not bad. Problem was with the paper emailed about services needed. Looks like customer requested and you did the work but only got an oil change. Very confused so I called and left a message with the service dept but did not receive a reply

A little slow and jumbled after the car was finished. If the Service Department was supposed to vacuum and wash the car after service, it did not happen.

I had called about getting my inspection and was told to come on because inspections took priority and no matter how many cars were there I would get it done. When I got there the young man refused to do it. I told him I called but he still said no way I would get the inspection. Candy the one who told me to come intervened and told him emphatically to do my inspection. He apologized and said we had a miscommunication. I always have one there and I don’t use them for service. I go to Greensboro.

Every thing was fine but I would have liked to have got a phone call early this morning when the part was not in the shop and that way I wouldn’t have to drive up there 2 times l don’t live in Asheboro I live in Siler City. Next time please call me if the part will be late coming in to the shop.
