I WAS HANDED OFF BY CHERYL TO SOMEONE ELSE. WOULD HAVE HELPED IF SHE TOLD ME THAT I WAS HANDED OFF.
NEVER TOLD MY VEHICLE WAS READY. SAW IT PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY.
TIME TO PRINT INVOICE AND OTHER PAPERS COULD HAVE BEEN QUICKER. WAIT TIME FOR AN OIL CHANGE WAS EXCESSIVE. I HAD PREVIOUSLY MADE AN APPOINTMENT. I ARRIVED 10 MINUTES EARLY.
EXPLANATION OF MY BATTERY DEFICIENCY WAS LAME. IF I NEED A NEW BATTERY WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER TO HAVE ONE INSTALLED WHILE I WAS THERE. THIS IS THE PEAK OF WINTERTIME AND WORKING BATTERIES ARE A NECESSITY.

When I arrived I said hello to the service person and she said hi and then kept working on her computer for about five minutes without otherwise acknowledging me. I almost asked her if I should go to another counter, but I waited. She eventually asked me why I was there and I told her for a routine service. She looked me up in the schedule, asked me for my keys and said something like I will get it going and walked off. I wasn’t sure if I should wait there or not and eventually went and waited in the waiting room. I wasn’t given any indication of how long it would tar. She eventually came over to me and asked if I wanted all of the standard routine maintenance, including new Brake fluid and rear differential fluid. I said sure.
After about 2 hours, I looked outside and my car was parked out in the lot. I approached her and asked if my car was ready and she said oh yes, I was taking time off work to get this done and thought she should’ve come to find me when it was ready after leaving the shop, After leaving with a $440 bill, I looked up how often the brake fluid and the rear differential fluid should be replaced and it is at 30,000 miles. My car has 24,000 miles on it and it will take me almost another year to get to 30,000. I was frankly very annoyed that Honda recommended I do it now when it wasn’t really necessary. My oil change was also about $50 more than I would pay at Masterlube even with a 10% discount. I had hoped to continue my service at Honda but I think I will be returning to my normal mechanic going forward.
