I arrived at 11:20am for my 11:30 appointment to have one tire sensor replaced and also oil change. I was told it would take between 1 hours to 90 minutes. At12:30 ( after I had been waiting 1 hour ) the service advisor said my Toyota mechanic was just starting to fix my Highlander. Terrible to wait 1 hour before work started on my car. We only hav one car so I had to wait for 2 hours and 45 minutes for an oil change and one tire sensor. Work was completed and my 2 maintenance dash lights are turned off. We love the Highlander we bought 9 years ago from Smart Toyota in Madison Wi. I also was disappointed on my previous service when a different service advisor tried twice to charge me $550 for the driver side sun visor but she finally agreed with me the cost of part was $ 200 not $ 400.

I was very satisfied with the staff. I was a little bit disappointed that the reason I came in was for a dead battery. I mentioned that it was only two years since Smart had replaced the original. When I came to pay for the service they had billed for the full amount of a new battery. It was exactly 2 days over two years since it had been installed. I was told that it only qualified for a partial warranty that mounted to 50% of the original purchase price. I don’t understand how a seven year warranty can be 50% after two years I was told this was Toyota policy.

The person who helped me was great. The unsatisfied part was that when I put the air on in the car later that day it now makes some sort of ticking noise when it did not do it before my appointment and then when the tires where filled up they forgot to put the air caps back on the tires on the right side of the car and not the left. I will have to go back to get that fixed. Other than that people were great.

Thanks, Justin. Seems to have helped a little, but the transmission still sounds bad. Ok the upside, it didn’t stall out when stopping, so it must be running a little cooler. Guess it’s time to trade her in and get a new one. Thanks for your help and advice.
