Hello - I scheduled my recall appointment for my 2013 Genesis Coupe 3.8 a week ago, after receiving a letter from Hyundai USA that my dealership (Glendora Hyundai) would be able to replace my ABS fuse within an hour or more. I received follow-up texts about my appointment confirming this was for the recall, walked in the door, dropped off the car, and received phone calls confirming my car was "done," per my request of having my fuse replaced and an oil change. AT NO POINT did the service person tell me that they did not have the part and my recall was NOT fixed, until I paid for what is now a glorified oil change. When I asked about why I was NEVER notified of this at any point in this process, I was told by another rep that this recall is an inspection first - that is a blatant lie. I called Hyundai USA when the recall first occurred and reviewed my letter from them and this is NOT an inspection first. I live in Pasadena and work in health care; it is very difficult for me to make arrangements for my car and I have been diligent about MY liability with his recall, but at NO POINT could your staff have planned OR COMMUNICATED that my car would not be fixed? When you call to tell me that my car is "done" and the only thing is an oil change - can you explain why the rep said it would take 2 hours for BOTH services and it sat there for 3, only to find out the very thing I came in for was not done? Your supervisor proceeded to tell me that there are other dealerships for me to go to - this is what 11 years of loyalty amounts to? I don't want to go to Glendale or Hardin - I really just want for you to COMMUNICATE instead of waiting till my credit card is on the table to tell me nothing but an oil change was done. You guys called for me to come in and then when I do, this is how I am treated? Now I can't even trust that your staff will communicate when the part comes in or keep on hand for when I am able to return. So disappointed.

I had a 2:30 app for oil change only. Did not leave till after 5 pm two other people who had appointments after me left before me and got their cars washed. When the guy brought my car out to me he didn’t even take the seat cover off or floor mat out of the car I had to do it myself. I was told I’d get my car faster without the wash so I agreed. I was upset when the 3:00 pm app got their car before me washed. They also didn’t greet me outside I waited in my car awhile till I saw people going in. I don’t think they were taking people in the right order. I’ve gone to you in the past with no problems but this time was totally unacceptable and I probably will take my business to another dealer. Also my paperwork did not indicate problems with my vehicle when i have a light on and nothing was on paper or told to me. The light was on when when I brought the vehicle in and was still on when I left.

I requested 0W30 oil for the 2.5 T oil change, as specified by the manual, oil full cap and Hyundai itself. I received 0W20 instead. That is the wrong oil for my car’s motor (turbo). My car’s maintenance is important to me. I hope to find a dealership that understands that.

Allyson was extremely helpful, friendly, and efficient. I found her to be trustworthy and she took the time to explain necessary repairs and their implications to me so that I could make an informed decision to make the recommended repairs through Hyundai. I did, however, have a hard time interfacing with other employees when trying to get a message to Allyson. I was on hold for 21 minutes, called two other times and left two messages, etc. and none of them got to Allyson which was incredibly frustrating for me (and probably for her too, but she was completely professional about it). The new remodeled waiting room, donuts, and snacks are fabulous by the way.
