The noise is still there when you press on the brakes. It was explained that there was nothing wrong with the brakes. They said they drove it around the block and it did not make a noise. However when we drove it home it definitely was making a noise! It definitely makes a noise when you stop. If it’s not the brakes that are defective, then it must be something else. It should have been researched to see what the problem is. Could it be a bearing or something underneath the car? We are very concerned, as we don’t want something to happen while driving it! It took a whole day out of our schedule and it’s still not resolved yet!

When I arrived for my first experience of service I pulled into driveway and there was a sign saying to check in at the umbrella. No one was there. I waited a bit and decided to just pull forward into the bay , (the time was 9:31 am )where it said pull forward. Maybe 6 or seven cars pulled into the aisles next to me and people were immediately helping them. Scanning their plates etc. However there were two people in front of me in the lane so I figured you wait until they are done being checked in. Finally I pulled to the front and was waiting and I got out (16 min after I pulled into the bay) and saw the one of the check in people were free so I said “I’ve never been here, is it normal to wait 16 min and watch other cars who arrived later in different lanes get checked in before me “ He said “did you check in at the umbrella?” told him no one was at the umbrella so I figured maybe today wasn’t a day you checked in there. He got me a started with the process (now I know how it works and I don’t blame anyone for that. It took me a bit to explain what was going on with my car because it wasn’t really understood by check in guy so he went to the service rep (Tony) and said he didn’t know how to fill out the paper with my problem. Tony asked me what was going on without a greeting or a smile or any such thing and then he was very short with him and snappy and said “JUST FILL IN EXACTLY WHAT SHE SAID” I immediately did not appreciate the way he spoke to the intake guy. It didn’t make me feel very good. Then I wrapped up finally at 10:07 being told it may take a few hours. 12:30 I get a call from Tony and he says they are waiting on a call from Toyota because they needed to inquire about my specific issues. I asked in a few different ways when a ballpark idea of my car being ready would be. He told me “we are waiting on Toyota, I don’t know when they will call.” So, I decide to let my friend who picked me up just take me around Escondido (I live up in Valley Center so I didn’t want to go home because my husband was working and wouldn’t be able to bring me back until after closing) I hear nothing at all from my service adviser until someone else calls at 5:08 and bluntly says “your car is ready for pickup” my friend had run out of time to drive me around as I it was 2pm and she had plans in the late afternoon so my husband had to meet us on the main road of Valley Center at around 2:30. He had to leave what he was doing to pick me up and he asked me when my car would be ready when I got in his car and I said I don’t know? We arrived home around 2:40 and he got back to work . He had a break around 4:40 so I went with him to a local market and he was telling me all along for me to call and see when the car would be ready because he might not have the time to take me… well I don’t like prodding on my first experience with places because I want to see what their process is without me chasing anyone down. It’s mental note time for me. Anyway.. at 5:08 when we were halfway home from store with a bag of ice that person called to tell me to come get my car with no further info. So we had to go home, drop off ice, and go down to the dealer (takes us 25 min to get there) Husband was not happy, as he had to get back to work (he works until 7 from home) we got there at about 5:45 and I had to go in and ask the cashier if I that is where I went to pick up my car (I didn’t know as it was my first experience) They told me to go to Tony’ Hendersons booth and I went over there and he knew I was coming so he opened the door and told me that Toyota has a case on my car now and that they said if the issue happens again take notes and they would discuss it again and that they adjusted the alarm that was too sensitive and then he added that the service tech said the issue happens to him in his car and that he found that apps on his phone other than Toyota have to be turned off. So, I asked what apps? Tony was short and said “I don’t know, turn off apps “ so I said well wait if he has experience maybe he knows which apps specifically and Tony says JUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE NO OTHER APPS RUNNING. He was never cordial or nice to me.. he seemed irritated with my existence from the start (from drop off time and pick up time) if I had to guess his mood. Overall , I think the experience left me wondering why there isn’t better communication throughout the day… after it passed 5 I truly thought they were going to actually not call me and let the place close without me having my car. How did they know it was possible for me to get there in time ? If it was going to take all day like it did , why didn’t I receive a status call in between 12:30 and 5:08??

Was told the 20K service would take 1 1/2-2 hrs Services was over 3 1/2. Caused me to be in late afternoon traffic which made me an hour late for work. This is not John Sucklings’ fault. He gives very good customer service.

Thinks that we’re recommended we’re not necessary thankfully I have a diesel mechanic in the family and I was able to double check so I knew which things to say yes and no to also used to automatically do a car wash and nobody told me you had to ask in advance so I had to wait longer for that which I do appreciate you doing, but people should be letting know these things and things are not necessary. Shouldn’t say critical and scare somebody into thinking that they need it when it’s really a very optional thing I brought my truck back because it had been a while because last time I was there I had great experience but I wanted Toyota to give the ones over because you know I’ve always trusted Toyota but things have Changed. However, Manny himself was wonderful and helpful. I do appreciate that thank you.

I asked them to take a look at my drivers seat (it drops) but they only kept the car for maybe 2 hours and I don’t believe that was enough time to recreate the issue.

Only complaint is that I was called a 8am saying my vehicle was ready. Got there at 9:45, the paperwork was not completed they said 10-15 minutes. I waited an hour till I went back still paperwork was not completed. I stayed there it took 2 minutes to do the paperwork. Wasting an hour of my time
