I think the service advisor (John) was sincere and did he best to address my needs. Having said that, it took too long for this dealership to perform the requested services. After forgoing the car wash for the sake of time, the price charged for the requested services was wrong. One of the recommended repairs (which I did NOT elect) was substantially higher than my local service station. In short, at Hyundai Chantilly I substantially pay more for significantly poorer service. I was really impressed with GV80 SUV in theshowroom and might have purchased one on this month. However, I can't ever justify this investment as this dealership continues on the decline.

This is not about the service tech I checked in with, or the cashier I checked out with. It’s about the rest of the experience.
1) I arrived, and the entire drive into the service area was blocked by vehicles just parked there, guys milling around, no one seemingly doing anything. I finally got out and asked if they were in line, and if not…to move.
2) when I walked into the service dept, there was no indication of where to go, if there was a line, etc. No one looked up from their service desk, said we’ll be with you in a minute—and at least 3 guys were not with customers.
3) as I waited, I watched a really proactive guy try to check out at least two customers who had been waiting. Both had cars that were done, but their paperwork sitting at another rep’s desk—but that rep was out. Only this one guy seemed like he cared. Everyone else was just indifferent. Not a good look.
4) Hyundai had a press release out that the adapter for charging EVs with teslas was available. Literally no one I spoke with in 3 departments had heard anything. And all I got was call the 800 #. And when I pointed out the website was just poorly done, one guy made a disparaging remark about Koreans, and that’s why he doesn’t buy these cars. Really??? Your service center not knowing what HQ put out is one thing. A racist remark and insulting your own brand is another.

I was told that my 2023 Tucson needed a part you did not have in stock. I was told the part was ordered and I would be contacted when it arrived. That was on October 14, 2024. It is now January 2025 and I have not heard anything about the part. I have contacted Hyundai of Chantilly several times and been told the part has not been received. I consider this to be poor service and I will no longer do business with your company.

John made the arrangements for me and I had the car back and ready to go in 2 hours. I have not always had fantastic experiences at Chantilly Hyundai, but after working with John, I will be back. What a fantastic, helpful, and friendly employee he is.

Absolutely awful. When we went to pick up the car, a woman said our service advisor had left for the day so there was nothing she could do. She cut me off when speaking. She was rude to us. I had to request to speak to the manager. You all did not complete the state inspection and didn’t tell us. We noticed “out of stickers” on our paperwork.
Awful. We will not be back.

On Friday, they tell us they need to work on it and we won't get it back till Monday. Went in on Tuesday for it and they had no idea where the paper work with our keys was. Having an appointment means that work would be done at the scheduled time. Do understand a delay of 5-15mins but to take 2hrs to just do oil change and tire rotation is a bit too much. Perhaps the service should not overbook people that cannot be handled in timely manner.

I am not happy with the service, this is the second time that I brought my vehicle in and I get it back missing a windshield wiper. The passenger wiper is missing and I found a screw near the wipers.
Both wipers were there when I brought it in for service.

I have been to plenty of dealerships throughout my life and can say that this location struggles the most with customer service. When dates are given, they are never upheld, and expectation management is never given. Meaning, if a part is promised by friday, and Friday comes around with no call, email, anything, then the customer is left hanging. At a minimum, a call a day or two prior to help level set an expectation would be appreciated.

I continue to buy cars at your dealership because the sale side has been consistently great, but will no longer be getting any of my five Hyundai’s serviced at your dealership.
