Gosch Toyota Service, Service tech broke a bolt off . I realize the oil filter is hard to get to on my 2003 Highlander especially when the engine is hot. And I also realize by removing four bolts on the front lower fairing makes it more excess able to change the filter. The service tech told me it, (the bolt) broke while he was trying to untighten the bolt from the fairing. I not buying that story. Why ? because after I received my Highlander after the car wash I did and inspection. As usual, and it happens every time I get an oil change, the vacuum line (VSC) is disconnected from the air inlet filter housing. And as usual I check to see if the four fairing bolts are install and they were not. When I inquired about where are the bolts, It is then I was told the bolt broke. In my opinion you have a very dishonest service tech under the car. I took the Highland home, drill out the broken bolt. It's something the service tech should have told me (disclosed of) what happen before I discovered it myself upon my own inspection. If I was to give you a rating . . . . including the serviceman that worked on the car . . . . . I give you a -5 rating. Your man is a liar, covers up his mistakes. And I should have NOT had to drill out the broken bolt myself and replace it. You sure have a high turn over rate when it comes to the man in the pits. I've been a Loyal Customer for many years. Anthony in Toyota was my rep. He was super.professional and very knowledgeable about my 97Rav4. He knew which tech to assign the work since it concerned a distributor problem. Got it in and out quickly. What I also appreciated greatly was the ride home and then getting picked up the next day to pay my bill and get my car back. I knew it would cost more going to a dealer But I knew Gosch would be reliable, especially since I am a snowbird here.
