I completely understand that there was a key fob shortage and it was out of your control. I am patient and was ok with waiting. I was irritated with the disorganization, though. It didn't seem like it should be that difficult to order a key fob and there seems to be a lot of confusion on your end. After an initial long wait (that we expected), I asked about it at our oil change and was told it would be in and they would call me in a couple of days. 6 weeks later I followed up and didn't get through to anyone. When I got a call back on a Friday, he said he would make sure it had been ordered and call me back Monday to get an appointment for that afternoon. Someone else called me back Thursday and scheduled an appointment for the next day. When I was in the waiting area, Jon came in and said I had already received a key fob based on their records. After asking me my name, he said that cleared up the problem. This whole situation should have been simplified to 1 phone call when the key fob arrived and 1 appointment to program it, done.

I am waiting to get an answer on the dust issue in my vehicle - that is perfectly fine and reasonable and understandable. However, I had made an appointment a week before the day I went to the shop and the man who first started talking to me at the shop was unbelievably incorrect and quite rude. He assumed that I was either a walk-in or that I made the appointment that day and told me the dust issue couldn’t be checked that day and I’d need to leave the vehicle or come back another day. I specifically made the appointment earlier in the day and talked the time needed through with the person who helped me make the appointment. I also left work earlier than I would have with only an oil change so I was able to get this looked at. I live an hour away from the shop and made a trip just to get this problem looked at. Anyhow, that really put me off of using the shop in Dubuque again. I guess a return will depend on what resolution can be found with the dust issue. The other weird thing is that the automated text messages keep getting sent and tell me that the car I have sitting at home is at the show and will be ready soon or is ready - and this has been happening consistently over the last week. Very weird, and makes me feel less certain about the shop’s capabilities.

Contrary to previous experiences, I felt my oil change was a little too long? Check-in was at 9:15, my vehicle was up front for an extended period, completed, without the service agent informing me. Left at 11:45. Still, Anderson-Weber is my dealership, I trust this is not a trend.
