Originally from Oregon. Snow birding in Yuma. Wanted to get the oil changed in my car. Called to make an appointment. I was told the oil change was going to be $58 On my 2006 Silverado. When I arrived and was checked in, after the service contact had come out and photographed The vehicle and written down the mileage, I was told the oil change would be $108. I ask why? He said because it was a diesel. I told him it wasn’t a diesel. That’s a detail I believe the service contact person should have been able to decide and pick out. Then I ask how much the oil change is going to be for my gas Silverado. He told me $68. At that point I wasn’t willing to bicker so I said fine. When the car came out of the shop, they told me it didn’t need synthetic oil but regular oil. And that the charge was $33. Although I’m happy with the price for the oil change, it is slightly disturbing to me that all those numbers were thrown around, the lack of Percision is disturbing. I had recently purchased a car from Oregon, and it is on warranty up in Oregon. I was guaranteed three oil changes from my Oregon Chevrolet dealer. I asked them if I could get them on the road at the Chevy place, and he said yes. The service contact was awesome, and ask for the information for the dealership so he could call them. I pulled the contact number for my dealership up on my phone, and was told to hold on a second. We had some more paperwork to do. He asked me for my cell phone number and check me in. Later I got to call my phone and he was asking me if I was the Chevy dealer up in cottage Grove Oregon. I said no, hung up, and walked over to the desk. He told me I had given him the wrong number. But he never asked me for that number. He only asking for the number outside and when I pulled it up asked me to wait, and then never asked me for it again. He wrote my cell phone number down twice. Again, no big deal, just the lack of precision is disturbing. I also informed him that I have a clunk in my rear end that I thought was universals, and ask him if it would be possible for him to check that. He said I would need to make an appointment in the future to come back and have that checked. He said when we came back to have a check, he would check it, and then go ahead and fix it. I was hoping to get a check then, since I was worried about it and your appointments are kind of far out. I was fully aware that it couldn’t be fixed that day, as I had only scheduling oil change, but I was hoping someone could at least look at it, and determine the severity of the problem. So I knew how much I could drive it in the coming weeks before my appointment. Overall, love the look and feel of the shop, clean, nice crew. Like the donuts. And the gentleman who came up and asked me if I needed a ride somewhere was very polite. Nice guy. Also cool that you have that service. I am hoping to be spending six months of the year in Yuma from here on out. I am really looking to find a Chevy dealership that I can trust, so I can get my service done there when I’m down in Yuma. As I said, nice shop, nice people, I hope to do business with you in the future. I was just slightly Taken aback by the lack of attention to detail.
