Mr. Nutter provided service that was above and beyond. After an inspection was performed on my car, an issue was found in my left axle. He recalled that I shared with him that a full replacement of the left side cv was performed less than 5 months ago and so he recommended that I follow up with the service center that performed the work. He was concerned about my safety and not taking advantage of my situation and while that might not mean much, that goes a long way to making me a customer for life. Ultimately, I returned to the other service center, pointed out the issue and they agreed to remedy the issue with haste. Kudos to Mark for a job well done. He knows how to take care of Nissan customers.

I went in for an oil change on my Sentra on 08-19-2023. Mark Nutter was great, kept me informed literally every step of the way, by text, email and since I was waiting in the dealership he walked over and let me know the status. He also let me know right off the bat how long it would take (2.5 hours) so that I was aware. The job was done quickly including a car wash.
My issue is this: I went there to use a “1st Year Maintenance Free” card. I received that because Fleet Manager Jose **** had transposed a number in my loan paperwork that caused me to spend $90 more than what I should have. Instead of $23450 ($22950 plus $500 dealer markup greed), it was typed $23540. I asked for free maintenance for the first year good at any Nissan dealership (so I could go to one near me instead of the Irvine location that is 50 plus miles away from me), but Joe said it’s only good at his Irvine location. Yes, I should have just cancelled the purchase since the car hadn’t been delivered yet or I should have just had Joe redo the loan paperwork. Then again, Joe should have said he’d redo the loan paperwork since it was his screw up.
So I drive the 90 minutes (!) drive, and find the “free maintenance” only means free oil change and free oil filter. Doesn’t include tire rotation, doesn’t include air filter. Which is BS, since these are part of regular maintenance.
How to resolve this? Give me a voucher good for use at ANY Nissan dealership for free maintenance for the first year that will include air filters, tire rotations, fuel filter. Yes, the Irvine dealership owner CAN do this. Don’t give me any BS story that he cannot. Or just cut me a check for $90 to cover your guy’s screw up.
