Steven, I'll admit that I did not inquire about the cost of the cabin air filter replacement prior to authorizing it and that's all on me. I'll also say that I was taken by surprise at the cost of that. Other than the few problems I've had over the last 5 or 6 years of service form Heartland, you guys ROCK. Keep up the great work and thank you. Here are a few thoughts on the .3 hours of labor for that job: 1) I'm sure it perfectly legal and probably the industry standard, but is it ethical? As part of the service I was already having performed; the technician removes the filter, inspects the filter and replaces the filter. At this point the filter is removed and replaced as part of that service. Why do I have to pay for that again if a new one is put in? Is it more difficult is it to install a new one instead of the old one? Probably not. 2) I just thought .3 hours was excessive. I replaced one a few years back; I'm guessing it took me about 5 minutes and that included finding and watching the Youtube video on how to do it. I'm pretty sure that even your most inexperienced technician could have that thing swapped out in about 2 minutes even with a quick text to their significant other. 3) Even though I'm not 100% satisfied with that, I'm still extremely satisfied with the exceptional service that Heartland continues to provide and will continue to have my vehicle serviced there with no hard feeling. I'm also not looking for a refund or anything that financially benefits me. I will say that unless I'm experiencing a cabin air filter emergency, I'll probably not have any dealer replace one of those again. Thanks Steven, Dave Fluke
