Jake was very helpful to me. I had an issue that was diagnosed around Christmas last year and was told the parts were on order and would get a phone call when they came in. I never got the call. I mainly came in for TPMS issues this time, but figured maybe the issue from Christmas can get fixed also at the same time. I had kept the diagnostic paperwork showing what parts needed to be replaced. Jake could have just said no, we have to order the parts again. But he went above and beyond to right a wrong, as he saw it. He found the parts were on hand and got the repairs done the next day. This research took about 20 to 30 minutes, in which he could have spent doing other stuff. Jake’s friendly demeanor, attitude, and customer service made me feel like I was being listened to immediately and put me at ease. He is a shining example of the personnel I like to work with. A few days before this, I had come in with the same diagnostic paperwork and was “helped” by a different service writer. I mentioned that I had an appointment originally scheduled for a diagnosis of the service shifter light. I told the person (don’t remember who, not Jake) I had the paperwork and about the previous diag at Christmas. Their response was basically to wait until I drop off the vehicle and deal with it then. I was not happy, to put it mildly, because I was not being listened to and felt like the person either just wanted to finish their paperwork and go home for the day or was busy and couldn’t devote the necessary time to listen to my situation. With that being said, I just wished I had been handed off to someone less busy or more receptive to listening to my situation. I did not say who it was because I would like for each person to self reflect to improve themselves and each other as a team. Also, I would like to commend the gentleman who has just started as a service writer approximately a month ago. When I first went in, he tried to help me out and realized he was in over his head and immediately got help. I think, over time, he will grow into a great employee, as he is a great person, from what little I saw. I know this was kind of long, but I wanted this to be helpful as a learning tool and not just a piece of useless junk. Thank you very much.
