I was greeted by Jason for my service appointment. I pointed out that my gas fill door was not quite closing correctly. He asked if I wanted to have the mechanics take a look and I said sure. He then informed me that it may or may not be under warranty yo fix. I said well if it's not under warranty don't bother - I don't want to pay to have it fixed. Tiguan was purchased new from Hazelwood (my second in 3 years) less than 7 months ago. To me it seemed petty that Hazelwood would not take a look to see if it was an easy fix. But Jason suggested that maybe I crushed a rock with the gas door and that would not be covered under warranty. He then abruptly shifted me over to Jesse who, I might say, took care of me in the most professional way the rest of the time I was there. The mechanic did take a look and did determine the hinge was faulty and ordered a new one - covered under warranty. Everyone gets to gave a bad day and maybe Monday was Jason's. What I don't understand is how he got so perturbed with me - I only said that if it's going to cast me money to fix the gas door hinge then I would pass. Fortunately Jesse was able to understand that and save what was awkward and unnecessary bad experience.

I thought everything was great. One thing though. The basketball inside of the dealership is loud. I understand you run different events but when you ate waiting for your car and the staff are shooting hoops and its a loud. No one saw that the court of waiting were not having s great time listening to the music,tv, and the hoops.

Caroline was incredibly quick and informative as well as personable. There were some issues with your text system but she overcame those things. Also I would have preferred to have a loaner car, a perk I have had regularly at Subaru. Also, since I had $2000 worth of service performed it would have been nice to throw in a CEL diagnostic since it was also a TSR although not a recall, but it is a defect.
