Well it was over an hour for my oil change to be completed, and that’s with an appointment, which seems a little ridiculous. When you can get it done for far less time elsewhere. Granted, I am aware that I am getting more than “just an oil change”. I still don’t see how over an hour is justified. It was ltettt close to 1 1/2 hours. I purchased a certain program with my vehicle, therefore, I’ll be coming here until that is finished. That being said you asked for my opinion so... Also, the work is good so nothing to complain about there. Other than my wipers being damn near perfect and the suggestion of getting new ones. (Why waste one now if it’s not needed?! I am not rich!) Not to mention they “forgot” to put my lug nut tool back, had I not looked to make sure it was there, it would’ve been gone forever. Costing me to purchase another! Point being, I shouldn’t have to double check that MY tool is there. Especially when it was asked for prior to service, implying that you don’t already have it. All in all, the person who handled my appointment making=great. Person who checked me in=great. Person who checked me out =great. BUT Maybe someone should be overseeing of the mechanics a little better.

I was unhappy with how reluctant the shop was once again with performing warranty work. Why does the customer have to be the one to inform the service department that the car they bought from the same building is covered by a factory warranty? Another issue I have is with the fact that I was denied the request to get a rental car when I first made my appointment. They wanted 35 dollars per day. My wife drives a Subaru and there was a recall, they had no problem issuing her a rental. The repairs for her car only take 30 minutes. Logistically it does not make sense for me to bring the car to Bremerton for service. I live in Gig Harbor and work in Auburn. Also I work a swing shift from 2 pm to 1030 pm. Therefore I am unable to get my car in for service unless its off hours. So I decided to go with Car pros in tacoma for my services thus far. Note that I have had a bad past experience with the west hills service shop which also involved warranty coverage. Being that my Kia Soul was so close to Warranty expiration, and it had recalls I figured I would ask my Mother-in-law to assist in the effort since the rental car was a 35 dollar per day fee. She works within walking distance of the shop so I figure its just an oil change and recall so she can take the car drop it off and walk to work and pick it up when it was complete. Car Pros Kia has done the oil changes to date and at 92045 miles there was no oil leak. I did however recently add one quart of oil and got maybe a sixteenth of the oil on the engine. Long story short I got a call around 10 am the day of service. I was informed once again that I had an email which included an estimate of 1500 dollars for work that primarily was covered under warranty. Yet I the customer had to call back and clarify that it was under warranty. I was then asked if I was the original owner. Is it true that the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. I bought the vehicle from west hills kia brand new a few years back. So I was then told that he would look into it to verify it was covered under warranty. Nearly 2 hours later I got a call back stating that they could perform the majority of the repairs under warranty, but it would have to stay overnight, so then once again I asked for a rental so I dont impact my Mother in laws life more than i already have and leave her stranded with no car, again I was told he would look into it. This time only about 30 minutes went by and he called back to let me know the rental car was covered and she could pick up the car when she got off of work. She had to go to enterprise because she doesnt carry full coverage insurance which had her to come out of the pocket for 100 bucks. So being the second time that the same shop tried to avoid warranty coverage, on two different vehicles that I bought from the same place, west hills Kia I can see a bit of a trend, and will most likely not only stoop using the service shop, but probably will try my luck with a different car dealer for the next vehicle I purchase as well. Most likely these are all formalities and it is not Mr. Mossman's fault, rather than the processes or training he is adhering to. I do appreciate the attention to detail the car recieved, I just dont like getting a 1500 dollar estimate for something covered under warranty. If I was a less informed customer, like I am sure you encounter, I may have just paid it because of my busy schedule. thus getting taken for 1500 dollars more or less. The fact that I had to be the one to point out that it was still under warranty once again to the same service shop that pulled the same thing with my last vehicle, coupled with the rental car issue, I was not pleased with that part of it. I mean this was a recall appointment I mean, really? You cant give me a loaner car for one day so I dont have to have my mother in law or anybody else go through all of the same hoops, I should have been driving the rental and not had to hassle her with the errand. She too I am sure would be weary to bring any of her vehicles to the west hills shop now as well.

It was my first service after I bought the car. I was a little hesitant, as the last dealership that I dealt with were HORRIBLE. But I came in, gave them my keys, and they took care of everything, including a nail in my tire, within about an hour and a half. Everyone was INCREDIBLY polite and didn’t **** me. I had my oil changed today (7/20/2019) at West Hills Kia. I drove the car home with no problems. My wife and I used the car to go to the movies. During our drive home we noticed an unusual vibration noise, when accelerating. I pulled over and noticed an oil leak. I checked the oil dipstick and no oil was registering on the dipstick. It also appears that oil has been spraying in the engine compartment. Looks like something was not tightened correctly!! I am waiting for a tow truck now 9:15pm (7/20/2019). I will be calling the service department Monday morning. Please make room in your schedule on Monday (7/22/2019) to resolve this problem!! The Car will be towed to West Hills Kia on Monday. -Ken Severud ****-****-xxxx 2012 Kia Sorento Dark Blue, All wheel drive.
