I am very unhappy with my experience at West Hills Honda service. It was a "bait and switch"scam. Before I made an appointment for a brake job, I told Cameron I knew the rotors were rusty and probably couldn't be returned to a smooth, non-pitted surface. I said I was fine with imperfect rotors and wanted to be sure they would do the best they could with the existing rotors. So I authorized the job of new pads and re-surfaced rotors on all 4 wheels for a total of about $580. Cameron called a few hours later to tell me the rotors couldn't be turned and new ones were required - another $600. I objected but eventually authorized new rotors. The next morning he called to say new calipers were also required on the rear axle - another $320. I refused to authorize new calipers and told him to put my car back the way it was when I brought it in. After much "discussion" I agreed to new pads all around and new calipers on the rear and ended up paying $756...almost $200 more than anticipated- and I've still got the unimproved rotors I went in with. When I got a quote from Les Schwab before talking to Cameron, they were right up front with me and said I would need new pads, rotors and calipers and quoted me a cost of $1189.10 including tax. Cameron led me to believe you would do the best you could with my existing rotors. Since I did not want to have to buy new rotors, I opted to have Honda do the work but I regret that now. If I had gone to Les Schwab, I would have new rotors and pads and re-manufactured calipers on all 4 wheels for $432.42 more than I paid you for new pads on 4 wheels and new calipers on 2 wheels and no improvement on my rotors. From Les Schwab I would have gotten 4 new rotors and 2 more calipers than I got from you. And I would not have had the stress and irritation I have had dealing with your service department. I would suggest that you could improve my opinion of your organization by installing 4 new rotors on my car and 2 more calipers for the $432 more I would have paid Les Schwab. I would appreciate your response. Thank you, Pat Karman

Cameron listened to my explanation of what my car concerns were, planned the best approach to solve them, greeted me enthusiastically when I dropped off the car, and called later in the day about brake fluid issues. When I picked up the car, he explained all that had been done. He was thorough and delightful.

Great customer service at this location.

It was easy and Brett (I think, or Brent) provided good information. I felt that everyone was doing a good job to prevent any germs from spreading (everyone in masks, gloves, and sanitizing). I also liked that I was able to schedule the appointment on the app, but I wish there were more discounts available and that a car wash was included with the service.
