Vehicle dropped off at 10:15 for a 10:30 appointment. Appointment was for a smoke test of the EVAP system. Technicians were informed the check engine light was for a evap leak in the canister area. I was told the service would take between 1-2 hrs. At 1:45pm no information was received and I had to go to a service rep to find out the status. At 2:30 pm I was informed that the leak was found and provided a cost estimate of parts and labor. Service was declined and I was told they were putting the vehicle back together. I didn’t receive my keys and vehicle until approximately 4-4:15pm.
While I understand tracing a vapor leak can take more time than expected. An occasional status update could go along way with easing frustration.
When I was provided a status update and provided a cost estimate, a sales rep informed me that the technicians also found other items of concern. This information was appreciated. The continual attempts to sell me on the $1,000 work was not.
I generally do all the maintenance work on my vehicles outside of warranty period. I decided to give the dealership a chance due to not being able to conduct a smoke test. I was happy with the cost of the test and the original time frame,however, not having to spend all day at the dealership. The time spent waiting caused other tasks at home to be delayed. As well as having to reapeatedly decline further work on the vehicle at a much higher cost than I was able to pay.

As I have stated before and until I can no longer write, I will continue to provide the same feedback. Your dealership is an embarrassment to the quality brand of Honda. I have told Honda Corporate Office, that you cannot undo what you did of ordering the wrong car in the first place. And now this new 2019 Honda Civic not starting on Sunday morning, Jan 20, 2019, and entrusting the Dealership to troubleshoot the problem for 4 days, is another nadir point. Four days to figure out what I told you was the problem, no fuel to the engine. Four days for you to figure out the ignition module was not activating the fuel pump. You truly are not the experts you claim to be. And then after leaving a voice message around noon to contact us if an when the car would be available, you did not do that. You OBVIOUSLY do not care, so when you speak with me, put aside the pleasantries that you claim to care, because you don't. I called around 530 pm, Wednesday, January 23rd, to ask the status of the car and availability. I was told the car was ready to pick up. So again you are poor communicators and solidifies you do not care that I would have to go another day without my car had I not called. Again if I could provide a negative integer score related to the quality of service you provide I would. Si.
