I was encouraged to replace my battery without being told the serpentine belt could have been affecting the alternator which could have been the reason my battery was low.I feel like I was taken advantage of. I just had my oil changed days prior and my battery was fine. When I called to ask about this I was told the belt wasn’t damaged enough to be effecting other components however I had also reported that the A/C wasn’t working and the staff said the A/C was just running poorly do the the damaged serpentine belt and was working fine now, so clearly the damaged belt could was effecting other components. I realize I’m not the mechanic but finding this out after I had paid leads me to feel like I was encouraged to buy a battery for no reason. Also, I had left three voicemails prior to my appointment asking for quotes and it wasn’t until the day prior when I told a customer service agent my messages weren’t returned that I finally got an answer.
