Came in for an oil change today and it took nearly 2 hours. That’s crazy. I’m new to the area and this was my first and last time at McGrath. I get that it was a busy day. But 2 hours is way too long. My previous Honda dealership never too longer than 40 minutes .

Arrival did not start well. I was greeted by a service advisor (Brandon?) who was not friendly, and without looking up the information on my vehicle in the computer wanted to tell me what I should be doing. This did not sit well with me as I had already had a conversation with Michael Castro and had everything set up based on the mileage of the vehicle and the past service history. A second service advisor came over after several minutes and took over. He suggested we simply sign the car in, get me in a loner and have Michael Castro call me once he was “back from lunch“. I went on my way and received a call from Mike shortly there after. Everything went smoothly from that point forward, and Mike kept me very well informed about the progress of the vehicle. All service was completed on time, And Mike Castro called me when the service was completed and reviewed everything that had been done with the vehicle.

George the SA was great. The issue I have is the fact that the technician installed unbeknownst to him a defective part. This led to the replacement of the cabin fuse box which was completely unnecessary. When the car was thought to be ready, I arrived to pickup only to find my rear doors and hatch would not open. Left the vehicle for further troubleshooting which found a bad fuse. Total bill seems exceedingly high for reman parts. This has been my first bad experience for service at this location. Again, George did as best he could under the circumstances. No knock on him.

We had our Pilot in in April with instructions to look over the whole vehicle and make a list of everything that was wrong with it with the immediate concerns first. We then repaired the items that were immediate and bought tires etc for the other items in the next two months. When we bought in in today because of the engine light was on we were given a whole list of problems totallying 6000 more than the car was worth. These items were not addressed previously and since it’s only been two months we have a hard time believing it could happen in two months. The technician who called me was rather short and told me he could only go with what he found today. We elected to not get the work done today and bought a new car. We were planning on buying a Honda CV but after our experience today we didn’t want to go back to the Honda dealer. So I would rate our experience as poor and you lost out on a sale from us, which is unfortunate.
