Where do I begin? First, I brought my car in on Saturday, April 21st at 7 a.m. I explained the problem to the man who assisted me, David Taub. The screen on my 2017 Honda CR-V was flashing bright, dim, and off for no apparent reason. I explained and showed Mr. Taub a video showing the screen doing what I had explained. He said okay and that Honda would look into it.
Monday, April 23rd I received a phone call at 11 a.m. from a different person asking me what the problem was on my CR-V. Thus, I can assume that two whole days later, my car still had not been looked at. On Tuesday I received another phone call regarding questions about my screen. They also asked to take my car on a drive to see if the screen problem could be replicated. I agreed to let the technician drivey car home. On Wednesday I was received a phone call from Scott Anderson notifying me that since the problem couldn't be replicated, my vehicle was ready to be picked up. Also, I was asked to take a video of the screen when it happened again.
At this point, I was furious. I had taken a video and presented it to David Taub on the very first day. Apparently, this was never communicated. Wednesday, April 2nd I went in and talked to Gabriel Duran and the GM Andrew, who were extremely understanding and empathetic with the way the whole situation had been handled. Andrew insisted on keeping my car and sending in the video to Honda Tech Support. At this point, the service manager Scott Anderson took over and it was smooth-sailing. He gave me daily updates regarding what was happening with my car as well as what the estimated completion time would be. Mr. Anderson was polite, helpful, and extremely professional. I wish I had dealt with him from the very beginning because his customer service is phenomenal. I hope this helps McGrath Honda improve their service department because the miscommunication and disjointedness between employees has been disheartening to say the least.
