This was the first time since I bought my pilot from McGrath that I felt like the service level met my expectations. Donald was great and explained everything to my satisfaction. Also, check in was MUCH smoother as usually it is a nightmare! Up until today, service has not compared to Valley Honda where I bought my last pilot.

I called Honda to see if my car would be fixed under warranty for sticky piston rings. They checked their system and told me that it should be covered by the warranty if the vehicle is still under 125,000 miles. I told them that my car has roughly about 65,000 miles. They suggested me to go to nearest Honda dealership and they would let me know if the repair would be covered under warranty. I asked Dr. of service Mr. Jackson if the vehicle is found to have sticky piston ring situation, then would it be covered under the warranty. Mr. Jackson did not give me an appropriate and satisfying answer to the specific question that I was looking for. He simply said that Honda would decide. I, first, came in to the dealership because Honda customer service told me that the dealership would let me know if my vehicle is under warranty for the repair if its found after the tests that it was in fact the piston ring issue. To this day, I did not get proper answer and I left the dealership frustrated thinking that the dealership was only interested in making money by forcing the customer to get and pay for an oil change to diagnose a OE Honda piston ring defect that may be covered under warranty. Furthermore, I wanted to purchase an Honda Odyssey minivan from this location for my family, which I will not be considering anymore. I had been a loyal customer of this dealership for 7+ years and I'm walking out of the dealership thinking it only cares about what's and how much is in my wallet. Horrible experience. Every customer looks for a professional and personable experience, and this experience of mine was the worst.
