My complaint isn’t against the person who helped me, because I know their hands are tied. However, when trying to get my starter replaced, the price was outrageous. The part (starter part) that I was told would be $600, when I look at Grandville Serra Honda’s personal part and accessories site, it tells me the part is $375 with a discount of around 29%, so it was roughly $265. How is Honda charging $400 more for a part that on their site it is $265. I think that is highway robbery. I understand that dealerships need to make money, but that is almost 200% more. That is also just the price for the part, not even including the service/installment fees. I was going to be charged $1200 to get it done. I can go anywhere else and get it done for atleast $700. I’ve had great experiences with the salesmen in the dealership but not the Honda’s service department itself and how much they charge.
