Just disappointed that Honda pushes for a diagnosis costing $4-$500 when they already know what the outcome is. Especially since I paid $99 for a diagnosis that was not a diagnosis. Also, the fact that other auto places offer thousands of dollars less than Honda for a better product and longer warranty. Very disappointed in Honda in general considering we have a 2017 Pilot with only 105,000 miles with a blown engine when we took good care of it and yet it is not considered in a recall but the 2016 and 2018 is? Makes no sense. Very disappointed.The only way to find out if Honda would pay for a new engine was to risk having to pay for the $400-$500 diagnosis and possibly end up having to pay over $8000 for a new engine. We are very sad that our very first Honda experience turned out this way. We were told that Honda Pilots are a very good choice in vehicle to outlast many other vehicles. Our 2010 Toyota Highlander with over 190,000 miles has never cost us anything more than regular maintenance. I think we will stick to and always recommend Toyota over Honda. But, apart from all of that and my disappointed rant, Phil Did what he could to help in the confines of Honda’s policies. He was very kind and did his job to the best of his ability.
