My service estimate was $429.90. My receipt alleges that I gave approval at 11:16am to increase my price to $449.40 — an increase of $19.50. Mike Fogt called me at 11:16am to tell me my car was ready for pick-up. At no point did he mention a price quote increase, nor did he ever receive my approval for it. When I picked up my car that afternoon, I made the payment first, and then I caught the alleged approval in the paperwork. I asked the receptionists to bring Mike Fogt to the office to explain the dilemma. He claimed it was "tax." My tax was clearly listed as a separate line item in the receipt, and did not account for the price discrepancy. I also asked him to explain why the receipt stated he got my approval for the price increase, when he did not. Again, he claimed it was a tax I had to pay. I calmly told Mike Fogt in front of the receptionists I wasn’t trying to escalate the matter. He interrupted me and said, “yeah, well it sure seems like you are.” I sought a refund. On three different occasions, Mike Fogt offered me three different refunds: one for $5.33; a second for just over $15; and a third for $19.45. Neither of these offers was a full $19.50 refund. Why was it so difficult for Mike Fogt to grant me a full $19.50 refund the first time? Why was it difficult for Mike Fogt to be held accountable for a documented pricing error and an approval I did not make? Worse still, why did Mike Fogt spend an hour of my afternoon behaving in a very rude, very patronizing way? As a Goudy Honda customer who purchased a brand new car and has consistently returned for service visits with friendly staff, this service visit was a stark contrast. Mike Fogt was utterly unprofessional, and I am truly disappointed and dissatisfied.

The service labor charge is outrageous! The invoice shows Gouda Honda charged $1,082.41 just for labor! The following is the communication records in my cell phone. At 10:31AM, Dane Ishii called me to confirm the repairs work. At 3:10PM, he texted me saying the car is ready to go home. Assuming your technician immediately started the work right after Dane hang up the phone at 10:31am, continue the work without any breaks till 3:10pm when Dane texted me, which is unbelievable anyway, it was less than 4 hours and 40 minutes (from 10:31am to 3:10pm). Based on Goudy’s labor rate of $140/hour, how could Goudy charged $1,082.41? It should be less than half of $1082 which is $541! In fact, If counting the break time, the labor charge should be less than $500! Please correct this issue with reasonable labor charge!

I was not satisfied with my service . I was informed that alignment for the car would be checked and I asked to be informed if it was necessary. Upon arrival for my car I was charged for the alignment and I had not given an authorization or price for the service . Additionally , the individual did not mention to me that he had added onto my paper work for the service to be done previous to me signing. When I asked the individual why I was not consulted previously to the work being done he stated “well you signed the paper” which bothered me since I was not informed that it had been added.
