Possibly not the fault of service writer, but when I first called to ask about bringing my car in for a tire replacement, the service department said no appt necessary. True, but after coming in and waiting over an hour I was told that the tire wasn't in stock. First suggestion: when someone calls and asks what I asked, a check should immediately be made to see if the tire is in stock. (My tire was completely destroyed so there was no patch option.) Secondly,as soon as I came in, a quick inventory check should have been made before I waited well over an hour to be told that I had to come back. And, after the tire was ordered, I was supposed to receive a call indicating that the tire had come in. I didn't. I just took a chance and drove to dealership. Luckily it had arrived 45 minutes before I did. But no call. Then when car was ready, it just sat there and I had to look for another service writer to get things in motion so I could get on my way. Then, once home, I realized the center cover of wheel with Audi rings was not on new tire. Fortunately, I found it in the trunk and put it in. Then, after driving a little more, the low tire pressure alert sounded; it was never reset: I reset it. But tonight, the next day, the low pressure sounded again for a different tire. I think things are OK but I am not sure. I'll know in the morning. So, not my best experience with Audi. At least the McGrath Advantage plan proved beneficial. (****-****-xxxx) Gary S

The week of Nov 11, I called too speak with a service consultant about three brake pad warning light intermittently turning on. I left 3 messages over 3 days and finally got a call back on day four. An appointment was scheduled for Nov 15 at 9am. I dropped the car off in the evening of Nov 14. At 3pm on Nov 15, I had not received any update on the status of my car. When I called at 3:30pm, I was told two mechanics had test drove the vehicle but the light had not come on so I could come get the car. I expressed that the service consultant and I had talked about the light coming on intermittently and that we did not expect for it to come on. Randy had said they would clean the sensors and check the connections regardless. I asked to speak with Randy to confirm what had been done before I picked up the car. I was told he was busy and would call me back. At 6:30pm, I still had not received a call back so went to the dealership. At the dealership, was told Randy had to leave and that they had cleaned the sensors. The car was not ready to be picked up and took some time to bring it up front. I was told Randy would follow up with me the next day. I never received a call. The brake pad light has come back on less than 2 weeks later so the issue is not resolved.
