Mechanic was fortunate that while removing the N0X sensor from the rear exhaust pipe, no damage occurred to the exhaust pipe, as this meant further parts would be required!
They had a rental car arranged in case the exhaust pipe was damaged as a back up plan.
Job took about 2 hours. All good!

Car was brought in for battery/alternator issue on Sunday 7/1. It wasn’t touched until 7/6. I picked it up after having the battery replaced and being told the alternator was fine, drove 5 miles down the road and the car has an awful sound coming from the alternator. Called the service department to let them know I was bringing it back and wanted them to hear the issue only to be told no one was going to stay after 6pm to hear my concerns even though it was 3 mins after 6. Poor service all around this time around
The difficult position customer service put me made it unlikely that I will return or consider purchasing a vehicle through Darlings VW

At my diagnostic appt., Joe Turner said he'd call me in a day or two with a repair estimate. He didn't call back for two weeks. I found another repair shop to complete this job that was FAR more professional...

Have never been treated better. As an out of town person in the middle of taking my wife to the hospital my brakes locked. Joe immediately had me bring in truck, planned for a rental if needed, evaluated my problem and assigned immediate technician to work. My truck was ready the next morning and the charge was reasonable. Joe and your service personnel should be rewarded for excellent service.
