I came in today because the certified truck I purchased from you last week was pulling to the left. I noticed this issue after taking it for a drive and scheduled an appointment the following day
When I arrived for service, I was informed that I would be charged for an alignment and diagnostic if I proceeded with the service. I had to explain to the service technician that I had just purchased the truck, and after consulting with someone in the service department, I was advised to check with the sales department to determine if the service would be covered.
After speaking with someone in sales, it was approved that the alignment would be covered at no cost to me. It was determined that the vehicle had two tires with low pressure, was out of alignment, and had a camber issue on one of the wheels.
I was under the impression that the vehicle underwent a thorough inspection prior to purchase, and I would have expected an issue like alignment to have been addressed. While I appreciate the resolution, this experience makes me question the integrity of the inspection process for certified used vehicles and whether other issues may have been overlooked.
Since I don’t purchase vehicles often, this could be due to my own lack of experience in knowing what to check or ask about. I hope that everything else with the vehicle is in good condition.
This was the second time the cover fell as soon as I hit the freeway. I had to return so that they could fix it. But it just continues to be an inconvenience.
