The regular service was great, and the team also addressed the 3rd row recall issue which was appreciated. Thank you! The part that we’re not satisfied with is the entertainment system in our 2024 Toyota Sienna minivan. That’s not Toyota Santa Barbara’s shortfall, but I’m still mentioning it here because we are not happy with this part of our purchase. We haven’t been able to get it to work in 7 months of buying the van. The entertainment system was one of the main reasons we bought the van, for the kids on road trips, etc. We have spent 10+ hours and numerous different pieces of equipment (e.g., HDMI cables, etc.) trying to get it to work, which seems crazy with a $60k+ brand new vehicle. A TV in a vehicle should be straightforward to set up; it should just work. We shouldn’t have to watch hours of YouTube videos to troubleshoot. The solution that we identified at the end of the 5 hour appointment was that we need to purchase more equipment, an HDMI to HDMI cable, to plug into a laptop that’s required to make the TV work. It’s essentially a workaround, since the laptop is doing the work and displaying videos on the vans entertainment system by projecting it to an extra screen. Why should we have to travel with a laptop? We could just watch videos on a laptop, so why did we purchase an entertainment system in the van at all?

I approved replacement of 3 tires like-for-like, and they put 4 new tires on the truck that were not the same and not what I approved. Including disposing of a brand new tire that I purchased two weeks ago. Very frustrating. In addition to the week plus that the shop has had my work truck, I still do not have my truck. Strongly considering not returning to this dealer for servicing my truck. Untrustworthy between the advisor and the mechanic, they do not work in the best interest of the customer.

In the past, I have not been happy with the service at Santa Barbara Toyota. However, I have to say that Pablo far exceeded anything I’ve had in the past and he is fantastic. Thank you very much. I will be back soon for the annual maintenance and will ask for him specifically.
