The customer service person was very professional and curious. He helped me understand the options in when to purchase a new service plan and letting me know that I was due for a brake fluid flush. Smart motors has an excellent service department and I’m really impressed

Frustrating Lack of Communication and Service at Smart Motors I’ve been a customer at Smart Motors for 10 years, but today’s experience left me disappointed. I brought my car in at 10:40 AM to reset the TSPM sensors after getting new tires elsewhere—something I’ve done before without issue. If someone recently got new tires or had them rotated, the system might need to be reset. The service representative immediately insisted that the sensors needed replacing, even though they had been working perfectly fine until the tire change. In the end, I was charged nearly $200 to replace just one sensor—what are the odds? The biggest issue, however, was the lack of communication. After four hours of waiting—despite multiple calls and even a message to the service supervisors—I still had no update on my car. The only reason I finally got a response was because I kept insisting over the phone. Even then, the person handling my service ignored calls and messages from the receptionist. By 4.5 hours in, no real progress had been made. When I finally received a call, it wasn’t to say my car was ready—it was just starting to be serviced, and I was told I’d have to wait even longer just to get the first diagnostic. This experience has me reconsidering future service here, especially with upcoming brake work on the horizon. Clear communication and customer trust are key—I hope to see improvement. I also had my brakes replaced at Smart Motors in the past, and ever since, I noticed a persistent noise when reversing—almost like worn-out brake pads. When I brought it up, I was told to just wait it out. The noise never went away until I had the brakes replaced at another shop. That experience, combined with today’s lack of communication, has really made me rethink where I take my car for service

The dissatisfaction is in the warranty I purchased at the time I bought my vehicle from a Toyota dealership... and Smart Toyota says it didn't recognize it. When I was told I could take my vehicle to any Toyota dealership.

$460 for an inspection is insanity, felt betrayed that I was charged because I wanted the warning lights checked. Will never return which is a shame because my family have been loyal Toyota owners my whole life
