Service repairmen did a fine job on repairs no issues there. Was told by service manager that Ford brake calipers are notorious for failing why hasn’t there been a recall. Why would anybody buy a Ford truck with bad brakes. If I run over someone who is responsible, with notorious brake failure why would your service manager tell me that. My issue the time 6 hours to repair, on call for when I was told is set 2 hours to get parts 45 minutes after it was paid for. Didn’t use Ford calipers. The bill is unclear to read. Did I pay for labor on parts and labor on installing them. Like I said 6 hours to repair outrage. Cost of parts was ok

Hollie did a great job working with me. My comments will reflect more on the general status of vehicle service at Ford dealerships. First, even though I live in Destrehan, I chose Don Bohn because you had a time slot open that worked for me. I had previously visited Veterans Ford, was not too happy with the service they performed. Lamarque could not schedule me for more than two weeks, which does not work for my business. I just bought a Nissan Rogue last year at Don Bohn, so I am familiar with the area, and it takes about 50 minutes to drive over. Not a problem if I have a day off. Second, I think the time it took to service my Ford Explorer was a little long. I know you did a complete inspection, which takes time. But I arrived at 8:20 and did not leave until 10:45. For the work that was done, I think that's a little long. Next time we visit we'll plan to drop off the vehicle. Which brings me to the third item. When I arrived, I told Hollie that the "check engine" light was on, the ABS light was on and the cruise control was not working, which I think is related to the braking system on this vehicle. She told me I would have to leave the vehicle for a whole day to have these things checked. We talked about this before I left, and I understand what she said, that all vehicles have different internal systems that may require some serious time to access parts that have to be checked and/or replaced. However, in this age of on board computer systems, I find it surprising that a Ford service computer cannot be connected to my Explorer and give a read out as to what is causing the lights to come on. Hollie said that a light that is on is probably O.K., but a blinking light indicates a serious problem. I'm used to the auto 4x4 light blinking on and off, but without the cruise control it's more difficult to go on long trips. Bottom line, just disappointed that spending about five hours back & forth driving and waiting for the car did not result in having everything addressed. John R
