Porche Uses Augmented Reality To Support Repair Technicians

Using the ever-evolving technology of augmented reality, Porche has made some amazing advances in the way their technicians are performing repairs.
Soon to arrive at all 189 Porche dealerships in the US are sets of AR glasses so advanced that they can allow a technician to stream video in real time to a specialist in Porche's Atlanta headquarters and receive direct instruction on tough to solve issues.
The specialist can even post tips directly into the technician's peripheral line of sight for added instruction and clarity.
This solution is not only innovative. It's almost become a necessity when taking into consideration the increasing complexity of Porche's products and the speed of change. At dealership service centers such as Dick Hannah Toyota Auto Repair Service in Kelso, WA such an advancement may be coming as well. If AR service proves to be financially viable, each dealership may get its own pair.
