However my car is not and I'm pretty upset that I'm not being helped after spending >$3000 on service. Skye is out.
The original issue that I brought it in for was a catalytic converter. Because it was at 103k miles, it was recommended I do spark plugs and fluids as well so I said okay. It turned out there was oil getting to the spark plugs so the valve covers had to change.
I got the car back yesterday and drove it to work in Tualatin and home in West Linn. This is not far. The car is rumbling and when I was in it when I got home it started to smell inside. I'm very nervous about driving it, this needs to be fixed. Nissan Service was already closed last night so I didn't call. I called today and they said it's on me to get it towed, It's also on me this time to get a rental car. I'm pretty upset that I spent all this money when it's not fixed and all of trouble this has caused is on me to resolve when simply taking the car for a half hour test drive would have shown the car is not ready for me to take home.
I also think that if I had only gotten the catalytic converter done, this engine and burning smell issue would not be here. I spent about an extra $2000 then only to not have a working car. I was a loyal customer, this is a deal breaker if it can't be made right.
