McGrath Volvo Cars Barrington Auto Repair Service Center

I think it may be the last time I come to Barrington - if you walk in as a woman it’s like you have “idiot” written on your head but I have worked in Formula One and know about cars and I have stories from the way this dealership has treated me from the beginning that the McGrath family should know about - does anyone care? A 20,000 mile check up you should not be trying to sell me tires and the rotation should be free not $60 - terribly disappointed with them and Volvo!!!!!!!

I was extremely surprised that a routine service appointment took almost 4 hours. I’ve never experienced that kind of wait time with my normal Volvo dealer.

Awesome per usual and it’s a shame that the Volvo dealership in WI is horrible. If you have any issues they are quick to defer the blame as situational or someone else. They don’t take any responsibility for their poor customer service. mark and the other young lady (dark hair service manager) are always extremely helpful and deserve an immediate recognition for their service!

Jasmine is terrific….and I will ask for her next time I come in for service. She’s simply the best!

I will never come back. I was charged 200$ diagnostic for no heat issue. Was told i had the wrong anti freeze type in my xc60. Then i was charged over 600$ to change it. 1 day later no heat again. Another thing one my tires was low on air and indicator light was on and was not addressed maybe you guys where out of air. So i had to make another appointment for same problem and also inquired why my vehicle did not get an inspection report which I thought was part of the 200$ charge Simon told me all the vehicles that come in get that but mine did not. Maybe the low air in tire would of been addressed. Well my new diagnosis was i needed a new heating core and the 600$ I already paid didn’t matter cause my antifreeze needed to be changed anyways. So i said ok how much to fix heating core. While waiting for price i went in rock auto website and looked up price for new heating core. The most expensive one was 60$. Simon came back with a price if 900$ so i asked how much is the heating core in which he replied 700$ for part only. I in turn showed him the rock auto price and he had no words. So out the door as ive heard said at dealerships would of been 900 plus the over 600 I already spent. Total being 1500 not including taxes for a 60$ part and 2 hour job. How do you think my experience was. Thanks but no thanks.
