I had an appointment at 11. Got there at 10:55 and still had to wait 2 hours for an oil change. Definitely not what I wanted to do on my kids day off school. Thought it would be maybe 30 minutes.
Luis Varela is a class act. Extremely welcoming and accommodating. Luis kept me informed throughout the day of the work being performed. He went above and beyond the call to ensure my satisfaction while assuring me that the technicians were doing an outstanding job. His care and his teamwork attitude is exactly what a customer wants to hear. Luis is a Pro, a Natural. Mcgrath Honda in Elgin has a winner on their team with Luis Varela. Great work !Thank you Luis !

Really disappointed. Usually takes less than a hour or an hour max for an oil change. Today took almost three hours. Never gave us any update until I went to talk to the service advisor. Keep in mind we had the appointment since Friday. Overall 3/10 service wise today. February 19 2024
Bryan was excellent. And the entire process at McGrath Elgin has been very much improved. It used to be where you awkwardly sat in your car waiting for anyone to acknowledge you. Then once you’d give up on waiting in your car, you’d go in by the front desk, and everyone would pretend not to see you. It made coming to McGrath Elgin awkward and a bad time. But now they come and greet you right at your car. So much better!
Jason did a great job explaining everything about my car. I appreciated that he was honest in telling me what had to be done versus what could be done.
I will come back for that reason. Honesty!

Today my son took in my vehicle for the routine maintenance with our lease contract. I was called around noon to confirm if we wanted the blades to be replaced and I agreed to front and back. I informed them my son was there. Upon calling my son to confirm his location he informed me that they recommended some additional items. I never agreed to this and Roberto informed me that your policy is to get approval from whomever is there not the vehicle owner. He said he would be able to confirm who is the owner but clearly all documentation reflects my name and number. He mentioned the total was $380 and when we asked for a discount for this misunderstandings he said the total was $428 and took a hundred off. Our lease is over in July and would have not agreed with the additional services if I were notified. I am disappointed in this experience.
We were very happy with the service we received today… will definitely be back.

When I scheduled the appointment i was told it was scheduled as first thing (645?) Got a call at 10 saying that they're just pulling it in to start the work. I had plans; drop the car off Friday night so that it could be worked on first thing Saturday. This meant I wouldn't need a rental. Instead I had to come on Sunday to get the car
Instead the car was ready in the afternoon on Saturday which delayed the pickup until Sunday.
