I had to leave my car. Got a loaner. He said some one would call me if it had to sty the nite. I told him not to use my cell because it was not working properly. Whoever called used my cell Could not get the call. They sent a text. I got that. Next day. They sent another text. I would rather they used my house phone like I requested

I had been to Honda for a regular maintenance service approximately 3 weeks prior to my September 16, 2020 service appointment. At that time, I was informed of oil leaking from the timing chain cover. Cameron Aust recommended this repair be done along with completing the 100,000 mile maintenance service early since both require going into the engine. He also advised not driving the car more than a 10 mile range until the oil leaking repair was completed. Other than the oil leak, every category and sub-categories were checked off as being satisfactory on the Honda Multi Point Inspection Checklist. It was therefore, very disconcerting to then receive a call, shortly after having left my car there for the leaking oil repair, informing me the serpentine belt is worn and cracking and rear shocks are leaking and implied repair was recommended that day. In between these two appointments I had put less than 300 miles on the car. It was only after asking a number of questions and deciding to hold off on the repairs for now that I was told when I picked up my vehicle the rear shocks were not a safety but comfort issue and the serpentine belt repairs could wait until my next regular maintenance service appointment. The Honda Multi Point Inspection Checklist from my second appointment indicated both the rear shock and serpentine belt “May Require Future Attention” not “Requires Immediate Attention”. This experience leaves me questioning whether the oil leak repair work even needed to be completed as soon it was since the maintenance light never came on indicating issues with oil. In addition, to my surprise, the Honda Multi Point Inspection Checklist indicated “May Require Future Attention” not “Requires Immediate Attention” which I unfortunately noticed only after having had the repair completed. Needless to say my trust in Honda service has been significantly diminished. This experience was not Lisa Valentino’s fault though her giggling while informing me of the additional recommended repairs was most annoying.
