Mr McGrath, who I believe is a very nice man, however he was trying to convince me that my problems with Alexa could be resolved by connecting via hardwire instead of Bluetooth & then he was telling me Alexa is not an Apple product so you have to use only Siri.
As many times as I told Mr McGrath that I had Alexa working initially & when I disconnected my phone (inadvertently) & re-connected it is when it did not work again. My original connection was completed by scanning QR code very easy.
However now when I try I get message Alexa setup not completed. There was an issue setting up Alexa Please try again. When I hit try again button I get message Setup Cancelled........The additional frustration, when I looked at the “work order” the second item listed is : Please Check Apple Car Play....Dies not seem to connect via Bluetooth. I never told Mr McGrath I had a problem with Apple Car Play because I had no problem. He then noted “Tested Apple CarPlay; System Loaded & Worked Correctly. Which made it seem that problem was resolved when that WAS NEVER a PROBLEM!!
The car was also in to have a Rear Cargo Protector I purchased, installed....this was completed fine.
As you can tell it was a very frustrating experience communicating the challenges with Alexa, and also his efforts to just make the problem go away thru a number of unsuccessful methods on his part.
I waited a whole day to respond, I do not want to create problems for Mr McGrath but I need to communicate this concern.
Travis who originally scheduled the appointment & installation of Cargo Protector & said they would communicate with Acura if need be to re-install Alexa.
