Recalls Issued On Aucura NSX
Recalls Issued On Aucura NSX

Honda has issued two simultaneous recalls on their luxury and sports arm, Acura's 2017 and 2018 NSX models. No incidents or injuries have been reported as of yet relating to the issues, but our partners at Gresham Toyota Auto Repair Service of Gresham, OR urge owners who receive notices to resolve the issue quickly by contacting a nearby dealership to have the necessary repairs performed.
The first issue affects the 2017 NSX. Their high center brake lights have a tendency to overheat, which could either cause a short circuit and blow a fuse or disable the brake lights entirely. The fix is simple and fast, as all that is required is to change out the lights.
The second issue involves almost a thousand 2017 and 2018 NSXs. Crossover pipes that connect their two separate gas tanks have been determined to contain a fault.
Over time leakage could occur, leading to potential fires. Not only the crossover pipes need to be replaced, either. New gas tanks will have to be installed to fully correct the defect.
Phone calls and mail notices will begin in early November, according to Honda.
If you believe your model may be affected but have not received notification by mid-month, you can check using your vehicle's VIN on Honda's website.
